本剧讲述同日同时出现两宗自杀案及两宗杀人案，碓冰所属的搜查一课第5系开始调查当中的关系，当中再发现同时间还有偷拍及强奸未遂等3宗案件，讲述连续刺杀女性的狂魔被捕，在众多目击者的情况下两名疑犯否认杀人，为了当场逮捕犯人，装备课的碓冰弘一（中山裕介）及侧写专家藤森纱英（相武纱季）加入搜查一课5系行动。碓冰和纱英的后辈筱宫梓（志田未来）在调查中发现所有案件的疑犯都失去关于犯案时的记忆，此外心疗内科诊所的院长水泽瞳（小雪）出现翻弄着他们。
