该剧讲述的是在民国时期，圣城大学校长离奇死亡，以暴力女陈曦，浪荡公子但推理能力满分的裴岩，市长的儿子英俊和八卦宫家传人宫紫组成的的侦探小组联合调查命案，随着调查的深入，神秘组织梅花Q渐渐浮出水面，还有许多看不见的敌人，一股暗流在圣城的水里不知不觉的漫延开来，事情似乎越来越超越他们的理解。他们面对重重疑案，齐心协力，誓将真相进行到底。
