　　本作は面倒くさがりな独身OL・面堂露（めんどうつゆ）が、めんつゆを使用した“最強時短レシピ”を開発する物語。劇中には露のほか、几帳面で料理を手作りすることにこだわる十越いりこ、炭水化物と脂質に命を懸ける保ヶ辺勉、保ヶ辺に恋をしており無理に大食いをする恋愛依存症の白田舞といったキャラクターが登場する。

　　どこにでもいるごく普通のサラリーマン・須田民生(濱津隆之)は、妻・佳苗(酒井若菜)が毎週土曜日に自宅でプリザーブドフラワー教室を始める事をきっかけに、しばらく行っていなかった絶滅しそうな絶品メシ=“絶メシ”を探す旅を再開する事に！「誰も誘わない・誰も巻き込まない・予算はお小遣いの範囲内で」をモットーに金曜日の帰宅後から佳苗の教室が終わる土曜日の夕方まで、日本全国を車一つで駆け回る週末限定一泊二日の旅が再び始まる！
